Since the launch of Model for Divers products, they have become increasingly popular around the world. As a result, the range of available models and configuration variants has been considerably extended. Without any major problems we can create a miniature of… ourselves! Or make a wonderful gift for a diving friend. But this is not the end! Recognising a niche in the market, we have just introduced a novelty – the “Old Heavy Diver” figurine!
Historical description
A standard diver’s suit consists of a helmet made of copper, brass or bronze, hoses leading from the surface that supply the diver with air by means of pumps, a waterproof suit is made of rubber and canvas. Then there are the knife and the weights, which are located on the waist belt or, as in other models, are suspended from the chest and back to counteract the great buoyancy of the dry suit. Later models were equipped with a telephone for voice communication with the surface.
Some suits used rebreather systems to extend the use of gas supplies. They were also an independent breathing source in case of hose failure. Divers working on the bottom could be pulled to the surface either by air hoses to which they were attached or by a special ramp with a winch.

else{ ugCheckForErrors(“unitegallery_28_1”, “jquery”);}
};
Such diver’s clothing was commonly used for all underwater work that required more time than a freediver could stand underwater without any equipment. The range of work performed included sea rescue, construction, pearl fishing, commercial diving work and a number of other similar applications.
Old heavy diver – ready figurine
“Old heavy diver” is a collectible figurine of a diver from a bygone era. The figurine depicts a diver fully dressed in a wetsuit, helmet and other accessories, standing on a platform that in a few moments will plunge with him into the depths of the ocean.
The diver figure is hand painted with reproduction materials such as metal, leather and rubber. Flexible rubber hoses are included in the set. The whole figure has a height of 13 cm.
Rumours circulating in the diving world suggest that this is not the end of the news! In the following months there are supposedly more figures in the diving-historical or diving-fantasy climates. So we can only wait patiently, what the future will bring.
