Scubapro’s latest second stage, the D420, comes bundled with the highest first stage model, the MK25 Evo. With this, the manufacturer has shown that it has high hopes for its youngest child, which is already the 5th stage of evolution, after the Pilot, AIR1, D300/D350 and D400 models.
According to the manufacturer, Scubapro engineers have created a breathing machine for the 21st century, guaranteeing outstanding quality, reliability, performance and style. The new D420 features an all-new balanced valve in a housing reinforced by an all-metal construction. Called the Progressive Flow Control Valve, this valve is capable of delivering an extremely generous flow of air, guaranteeing the best breathing performance with a natural fluidity comparable to breathing on the surface.
The uniquely shaped housing, made of glass fibre reinforced nylon, is extremely durable. The possibility of mounting the LP hose on the right or left side provides maximum configuration flexibility.
The new dive/pre-dive system features a top-mounted switch with thumb catch, allowing the direction of airflow to be adjusted directly from the valve. The extremely powerful dispensing button is a technical gem created with a new concept that gives the D420 a unique look.
Combined with the award-winning MK25 EVO balanced piston first stage, this is a breathing system that should satisfy all diving enthusiasts.
