Boot Fair Düsseldorf postponed

On Thursday 3 December, the organisers of Boot Düsseldorf, the largest trade fair for water sports equipment in Europe, announced that the event had been postponed until the spring. This is obviously a result of the prevailing global pandemic situation, which has resulted in a number of restrictions.

The fair was originally scheduled to take place on 23-21 January 2021, but it is already clear that it will not be possible to hold the event on this date. Therefore, without waiting until the last minute, the organiser has decided to move the Boot Fair to a spring date and it will take place from 17-25 April 2021.

The organisers, given the development of the Covid-19 pandemic, with all its consequences and restrictions on freedom of movement and assembly, do not see it possible to organise the event to a size that would be satisfactory to exhibitors and visitors to the fairgrounds.

While a new date for the Boot has already been set, it has also been stressed that, due to the specificities of the global situation, there will be another assessment of the feasibility of the event in January/February. The date of the fair should then be finally confirmed.

Boot Düsseldorf 2021 will take place from 17-25 April. The original date of 23-31 January could not be met due to continued high infection rates across Europe. Messe Düsseldorf decided to postpone the show after close consultation with partners and exhibitors who support the decision and were in favour of the new dates. The early announcement of the new dates gives exhibitors the planning security to prepare their participation in the fair and to transport their equipment. More information will follow as soon as it is available,” reads the official announcement

If you were planning to go to Düsseldorf this year, there is still nothing to lose. As soon as more details about the event become available, we will be sure to report them on our website.
