Last Saturday turned out to be very unfortunate for Polish divers. Two of our compatriots died in two separate diving accidents. One of the incidents took place while diving in the Baltic Sea, on the wreck of the SS Bremerhaven, in turn, the second incident occurred in the popular Austrian diving site Offen Attersea.

From a dive on the wreck of a floating German concentration camp SS “Bremerhaven”Our colleague and well known in the diving community Michał Czermiński has not returned and is still being searched for. The notified SAR unit and a helicopter carried out a search until dusk, unfortunately, despite excellent conditions, without any results. The search was resumed on Sunday morning and is continuing.

Michael was a very experienced technical diver, but it was the kind of person he was that made him special. Uncompromising, direct and extremely likeable. It remains a great regret that we will not meet again on this side, nor realize any of the planned projects. It was a real pleasure when our paths crossed.

A 38-year-old Polish woman has died in Austria during a closed circuit dive. According to available information, while diving at a depth of around 80 metres, she signalled a problem to her partner and then carried out an emergency ascent. Her floating body was spotted from the shore and emergency services were alerted.
