An experienced 61-year-old technical diver from England died while diving on the wreck of the legendary ship HMHS “Britannic”. The incident occurred on 29 September. Details of the dive and the accident are not known, but it is known that the victim was an experienced technical and wreck diver.

HMHS “Britannic” resting on the bottom of the Aegean Sea near the island of Kea, is treated by many technical divers as the Holy Grail among wrecks. Sister ship of the legendary RMS “Titanic” resting at a depth of 125 metres is a beautiful, but also extremely difficult and dangerous wreck, on which every now and again tragedies occur.

This time it was 61-year-old Tim Saville, an experienced technical diver from Huddersfield, who paid for his dream with his life. Diving the wrecks of the “Britannica” was his dream. Unfortunately, he will not be given the chance to enjoy its realisation.
