Media have reported that the body of Andy Phillips, the PADI director course who died while diving on 11 June, has been found. The Briton had lived and trained on the island of Utila in Honduras for almost two decades.

Phillips had been a Platinum Course Director for PADI for many years and was also an instructor trainer for technical training. On the fateful day he was diving with a colleague from the St. Lawrence River. An intensive search was unsuccessful for a long time.

Eventually, however, they did and Phillips’ body was found near the facility where the Royal Canadian Air Force boats are stationed. Once the body was recovered, the identity was confirmed and the search officially ended.
