It is said that champagne tastes exceptional underwater, although drinking it in such conditions is not the easiest task. Igor Bartoszewicz, an instructor from the Olsztyn diving centre, revealed his technique for drinking champagne underwater. Champagne should be held upside down because there is more pressure on it underwater. After removing the cork, when the champagne shoots out, the bottle should be plugged with a finger, first taking enough air. After shaking it gently, you can lift your finger and let the wine flow into your mouth.

According to the participants of the champagne underwater feat, the beginners have quite a problem with it, however, they can count on the help of divers who have already had a chance to taste the underwater bubbles and deal with the task with bravado. New Year’s greetings underwater are slightly different from those made on solid ground, although the way of conveying them is different as it is done with the use of gestures. Watch CNN Crocodiles’ coverage of this unusual way of welcoming 2014! With that, we join in wishing you – Happy New Year!
