An extremely interesting project will be realised in the waters of the legendary Lake Titicaca. As the Bolivian authorities have announced, an underwater museum will be created in the part of the lake located in this country! The exposition of this unusual museum facility will consist of artefacts discovered in the lake over the past 10 years.

The underwater part of the museum will be accessible from the beach and will be separated by glass walls. On the other hand, objects found in the lake by underwater archaeologists during subsequent research expeditions will be exhibited on the shore.

The museum is expected to be completed by 2020. The cost of building and running the facility has been estimated at $10 million. Funding will be the responsibility of the Bolivian government, UNESCO and the Belgian Agency for Development Cooperation.
