We have encountered this magic several times in recent days. We have got to know this continent inside out, both the good and the bad. We are all safe, and in our research of the wreck we have achieved remarkable results. But the road to these achievements was as long as it was bumpy. We will tell you all about it soon – in articles, a film and an expedition report. And – of course! – blog posts!

While we’re at it, we’re already rolling up camp today – this is the last post for our blog from Banana Island (with the Sierra Leonese delighting at 2KB/sec!). We’re leaving two compressor motors and a load of sweat here. We take away a mass of memories – only good ones – and dreams and plans for future expeditions. Some of them – to waters not far from here! More soon

In the meantime, see what delightful secrets this wreck holds – such as a huge collection of porcelain. Unfortunately, for two and a half centuries the local storms have broken all the cups, teapots and plates into pieces. But we like them anyway!
