In our pages we cover the most diverse topics related to diving. However, there are issues to which we often return, because we consider them to be extremely important. We divers, as a community, see the world in a completely different way, therefore in many issues, we have a completely different sensitivity than people who have never had the opportunity to be under water.

One of these is the dramatic situation facing one of the most magnificent animals on our planet – sharks. The world population of these animals has been reduced by 90% as a result of direct and indirect human activity!

Killed for sport, meat and, above all, for their precious fins, they are on the verge of extinction. Since the undeniable beauty of the underwater world is what draws us beneath the surface of the water, we cannot just remain passive spectators in such a situation.

By speaking out about the problems, we are able to shape an image of underwater predators that is different from the fictional one (e.g. the film ‘Jaws’). All over the world, efforts are being made to protect sharks. One of the main ways to change the image of the shark are films created by divers, presenting the true face of these majestic creatures.
